I am a woman, I have a vote, and I am not giving it to you

Dear presidential candidate,

I have a daughter. I have a mother. I have a sister. I have a vote. And I am not giving it to you.

I’ve seen the things you say. The way you’ve spoken about women, minorities, people’s bodies, and people with disabilities. That’s the way bullies act. They look for the person on the playground who seems too weak to fight back. Well, guess what? We aren’t weak.

Our whole lives we’ve been oppressed in ways you’ll never understand in your rich white man’s world. You’ll never know what it feels like to realize that someone is staring at your boobs instead of your PowerPoint presentation. Or what it feels like to have a group of guys start calling out vulgarities to you on the street. Or what it feels like to tell your boss you’re pregnant and know he’s thinking, “that’s inconvenient.” Or what it feels like to make less money for doing the same job as other people. Or what it feels like to be called the weaker sex. You’ll never know what it feels like to be a woman.

I have a daughter who will be a woman before I know it. And I expect people to judge her based on how beautiful she is ON THE INSIDE. How big her brain is, not her boobs. How nice her heart is, not her ass. And when I hear a man like you speak about women’s bodies over and over and over again, I’m pretty sure your focus is in the wrong place.

But go ahead, say whatever you’re thinking. Seriously, BRING IT ON.

Because when you try to touch a woman without her permission, it is “one” against “one.” When you tell a beauty queen to lose weight, it is “one” against “one.” When you say a woman must be bleeding out of her you-know-what, it is “one” against “one.” But when you stand on that stage and have the audacity to tell all of us that it is just locker room talk and it doesn’t really matter, it is “one” against a shitload of women who are sick and tired of being treated like objects.

Signed,

A woman with a brain, a daughter, and a vote

If you liked this, please don’t forget to like and share it. And if you didn’t like it, that’s fine too. We can agree to disagree and hopefully agree on a lot of other subjects.

I have unsubscribed to your blog. As an educator, I really liked your posts that have to do with education. While you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, I did not originally subscribe to hear about politics.

    • Kim at 11:10 am

Why do people feel the need to announce this? Do you think she’s now sitting there thinking, “Oh, no!! Angela is leaving! I guess I was wrong to voice my own personal opinion!” ?

I’m sure she’s devastated. She did give you fair warning. And it’s HER blog.

    • EEP at 11:39 am

If you seriously believe that Trump would make a good president, this is not the blog for you.And I feel sorry for you if you don’t have enough self-respect to be deeply offended by the vile crap that he is spewing about AN ENTIRE GENDER!!!! Your gender, as a matter of fact. Sad.

      • Michelle at 2:00 pm

I’m more concerned that you’re an educator that can’t follow simple instructions. I also hope you aren’t passing your opinion onto the children in your classroom.

    • Jessica at 11:56 am

Which part of this was upsetting enough to you that you feel the need to unsubscribe and therefore miss out on all of the future unpolitical posts? Just wondering.

    • M at 12:54 pm

As an educator you should be slightly more open minded to other people’s opinion whether they are political or how you raise a child. I’m slightly upset that my child might one day be educated by someone who, like you, won’t be judgement free of her.

      • Jodie at 6:07 pm

She’s not judging. This is just not the content To which she subscribed. Simple as that. It’s like getting US Weekly when you subscribed to National Geographic.

        • Mary Schneider at 8:23 pm

Precisely why my child is no longer in public school.
“I disagree so I’m leaving!” posts are nothing more than the adult version of stamping one’s feet and stalking off the playground.

Children need role models; ones who can accept the fact that others, even the little minds who are entrusted to their care, might have ideas that conflict with their own.

    • Nicole A. at 4:55 pm

Ditto! Another teacher here and feel the exact same way!

    • Tracey at 7:34 am

She said she’s not reading it so she’ll never know why you left. It was one well said piece on how she feels about the hatred being spewed toward women. For you to leave over that it clearly has nothing to do with why you signed up but more with your choice of candidate.

  2. Amy at 10:20 am

I absolutely agree and love that you’re using this platform for this. If you lose a few followers, oh well. You’re doing the right thing.

  3. Robin Luby at 10:21 am

Its ok you have a vote too. I choose to vote against someone who is a liar, puts our country in harms way and was the reason some very awesome men died. I also want my daughters to know if a man cheats on you, you don’t turn a blind eye and then blame the women. Then threaten the women to keep quiet. I also don’t want to be run out of my own country.

    • Amanda at 10:27 am

I agree with you Robin. MANY men AND WOMEN have said things that is “locker room talk”, hell, if any of you read this blog, you know d**n well, she [Baby Sideburns] doesn’t really mean what she says. C’mon, she wrote a book titled ” I Heart My Little A-Holes.” But no one is commenting on her calling her own kids assholes.

      • thevoltz2000 at 1:20 pm

Calling your kids “little A-holes” on a blog that is known to be tongue in cheek is a far cry from a presidential candidate using language that demeans women. “locker room talk” is one thing…but “locker room talk” is usually saved for bragging about sexual conquests, sometimes in raunchy and vulgar language. That “locker room talk” does not include “sexual assault talk”. There is a huge difference.
If anyone here has a daughter, and she came home and said a boy grabbed her in her privates, would y’all say, well, that’s just locker room behavior? No. But when kids HEAR those words and see people STANDING UP for those words, they get the picture that it is okay.

You may not agree with HRC, but that does not mean you need to be okay with the GOP candidate’s lanugage. If you believe that the GOP policies and platform are worth voting for, but you disagree with comments made, you can go ahead and stand up for that.

      • Cheryl Ross at 2:00 pm

I don’t understand why there is a difference between the leader of the free world saying and doing ( he did fool around on his wives, maybe the ten women who came forward are lying – that’s what they initially said about the Cosby victims). However, it. Is words that lead to change so his belief that he should be able to say anything derogatory that he wants, as President, would be a role model for other behavior. Teachers have already reported students mocking disabled students, calling out students who are overweight and chanting “build a wall to any student who has an Hispanic surname.

    • Laura at 11:36 am

I agree 100% Robin. Actions speak louder than words and anyone with kids knows this. Especially the use of “Just a minute”…. Sadly I will be leaving this blog too because i don’t want to hear this media based bull. As a blogger research should be done to see if something is true or not, and most things have been proven to be lies when it comes to Trump…. Bummer, I enjoyed this blog most of the time.

      • EEP at 11:54 am

Everything she said is true and came straight out of his disgusting mouth, on audio and video. Whether or not he said and did these things is not up for debate, nor is it the media’s fault. HE LITERALLY SAID ALL OF THOSE HORRIBLE THINGS.

      • Molly at 6:44 pm

How have they been proven to be lies when everything he said has been exact quotes? How as a woman can you support such objectification of women???

    • EEP at 11:50 am

So you choose to vote for someone is has called women, pigs, slobs, ugly, fat, says it’s dangerous to put women in the workforce, described a journalist as looking “better down on her knees,” trying to call out someone for infidelity when he cheated on 2 wives, says he would date his daughter if they weren’t related, told Howard Stern he could call his daughter a “piece of a*s,” saw a 10 year-old girl and commented on how he would date her in 10 years, and finally bragged about putting his hands on a woman without their consent. Oh, and when asked if he could say that he respected women, replied “No, I couldn’t say that.” And those are just things that were caught on audio, and are absolutely verifiable. Is that the person you want your daughters to see as president? Do you want them to believe that me are entitled to put their hands on them without their consent? How would you feel if your daughters was sexually assaulted? What am I missing here?

      • JJH at 12:52 pm

Everything you mentioned are words. Not actions. Hillary is a proven liar. And how about those emails? Or the men that lost their lives because of her or let’s not forget the long list of people surrounding her conflicts that wound up dead?!?!? One or two people I can see but more than that and it starts looking bad. Is THAT the person you want running our country? I agree Donald Trump is not the ideal candidate but you’d have to be NUTS to think “hurt unkind words” are worse than the loss of lives! What am I missing? SMH

        • Lily at 11:30 am

Well, you don’t have to vote for either of them. I guess you’re entitled to your own opinions, but seriously, dd you not read what EEP wrote? If people actually think that a sexist, racist pig would make a better president than anyone else in the elections, I suppose America’s screwed.

        • Itsa Secret at 3:36 am

What are you missing? Where should I start? OMG with the emails…Hillary has been cleared multiple times by the OPPOSING party…what more does it take to prove she has been cleared?! If anyone was going to find her guilty it would have been them, but they didn’t, because she ISN’T. Every trumped up charge has been cleared and she has never been found guilty. I don’t know why I even bother knowing that since I am not Fox news you won’t believe a word I say but if you are old enough to vote you are old enough to do your own research and old enough to be held accountable when you choose not to research properly. Do you not get that HIS words are the ultimate indicator of his character, or lack thereof? People HAVE lost their lives because of his words. People have been badly hurt and killed by his trolls who now basically have permission to bring their racism our of the closet and put it back in the streets.

          http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/lists/people/comparing-hillary-clinton-donald-trump-truth-o-met/

Want to see a proven liar? Click the link and read it with an open mind. Every single statement has been checked and shows it’s source. Do you have the strength an open mindedness to read it and admit you might be wrong?

And YES, YES she is absolutely the person who should be getting ready to run our country, and if the will of the people had won she would be. I would rather my country be run by someone who made a few admitted mistakes than a racist, sexist, sexual predator who can’t even keep his own company above water, let alone a country he has no clue how to run.

      • Itsa Secret at 3:26 am

Thank you! Only things missing are things that only drive the truth home more. People are so brainwashed by Trump and his hatred they have convinced themselves his racist bull is “refreshing truth.” Really it just disgusts me how much more credit I have previously given people that they clearly didn’t deserve.

    • Itsa Secret at 3:21 am

Have you actually researched Trump’s statements at all? He has told more lies than Hillary several times over. You are aware Hillary has been cleared more than once by Republicans for every charge and accusation she’s had laid against her correct? As for cheating, Hillary chose to keep her family together and work through the pain and how dare you shame her for making a choice that is every woman’s choice to make? It takes way more strength and is far harder to stay and make it work than to leave and she didn’t just run from her problems. You instead voted for a man who admits he treats women terribly and is ok with that. He’s admittedly the lying cheating husband you think women shouldn’t have to deal with. Do you really think more of the cheater than his victim? Since you don’t actually know the Clinton’s I am assuming you don’t know any more than the rest of us how Hillary and her husband actually dealt with his infidelity, but why is she wrong to also blame a woman who willingly engaged in an affair with her husband? If your husband cheats are you AND the other woman equal victims? You voted for a man who thinks your daughters are less than her male counterparts because she was born with a v****a. You voted for a man who thinks it’s ok to grab them by their genitals without their consent should they be “lucky” enough to be a 10…otherwise he will call them pigs or worse. You voted for a man who lies half because he knows people are dumb enough to buy his bs and half because he is so unfit to be the President that he doesn’t even know he can’t make the promises he is making! Funny thing is he isn’t even in office yet and has already backed down on several campaign promises…gee who was the big liar? Run out of your own country? Trump is the one who wants to build walls and burn bridges. You’ll be lucky if your daughters don’t grow up in the middle of WW3 because YOU decided they’d be better off raised in a country whose leader has no clue how to keep his own company out of bankruptcy let alone run a nation. You think we would be in trouble with Hillary? Think she’d be tweeting out of control and throwing temper tantrums 140 characters at a time for the world to see and laugh at? Maybe you should have thought about what it says about YOU to your daughters that you condone racism, sexism, bigotry and all around hatred?

  4. Chevawn at 10:21 am

This is brilliant and I agree 100%. Nicely done… ignore the haters and know you have people who agree with and support you. 🙂

  5. The Bears (@tch1225) at 10:26 am

Very well said!!! I have 2 sons that have autism. I can’t in all honesty vote for either ” popular” candidate. I am going to have to do a write in vote for team Evan McMullin. He’s gaining momentum so there might be a small chance. With all the negativity being tossed around from both of the popular sides…neither one is really focusing on their principles…I’m worried about who might be in charge of pushing that little red button that controls the nuclear weapons.

    • Shannon at 11:20 am

…which is on the exact same level as sexual assault…..?

  6. Autumn Lineweaver at 10:29 am

This post makes me very bummed, BS. I have always really liked your posts to see the lighter side of parenting and have a laugh about things us moms can all relate to. And I agree that we all have a vote, but that’s not why I liked your page, bought your two books and regularly read your blog. Since political opinions are being given, then I’ll say too that I choose to vote against someone who is a liar, a crook, a criminal and let our good service people die.

    • Itsa Secret at 3:38 am

and opted for a sexist, racist sexual predator whose lies outnumber Hillary’s at least 2-1?

  7. Kris at 10:30 am

You have a right to speak your opinion, in a calm and sane manner, which you did. You also have the right to vote for who you feel can best represent what is important to you. You spoke well. Those who leave probably don’t need to be here anyway. This country needs to learn to agree to disagree. In a peaceful and respectful manner. Keep on keepin’ on!

  8. katie at 10:35 am

Just unsubscribed! Your other posts kept me laughing, I was not subscribed to hear your political opinions…. btw “grab today by the p***y!”

  9. LorinNYC at 10:38 am

You are brave! I applaud your courage! It’s hard to appeal to everyone and you don’t have to. Someone said that they unsubscribed because they don’t want to hear about politics. Well, we have to talk about it, as moms, as parents. The policies they propose effect our children and the future for our children. Bravo to you. Know that there are enough of us out there that support you. Racist and sexist attitudes have to be dealt with – no long swept under the rug…like all the other dirt in our houses.

  10. Samantha Jones at 10:41 am

Very well said!! I also have a daughter and a vote! Good riddance to the haters.

  11. Aimee at 10:43 am

I have to agree with Angela, except I subscribed to your blog because it was about kids and parenting…and it was funny. This was not funny. And the fact that you used your post to assert your political views is, of course, your decision. But I think it was a wrong decision. I’m certainly not a “hater,” I’m just disappointed. And while you’re deciding what is right for women, you may want to look at the other candidate and realize the enormous amount of harm she has ALREADY done to the citizens of this country, men AND women. She is NO role model for my daughters. Goodbye, BS.

  12. Melissa at 10:45 am

Okay … so … BRAVO!! This is spot on. Your blog is about your LIFE – and this election is a major part of what’s happening in the world right now. I don’t read your blog to be educated, or find out how I should lead my life … I read your blog because you entertain me. Pure and simple – you write what you feel … that’s why we love you. Don’t ever stop. 🙂

  13. Steph at 10:45 am

I know that, living in another country, I have no right to say yae or nae when it comes to your country’s election – but your president has great influence on what happens in other countries – so here I go …. if that bullying, ego-maniacal piece of whatever I’ve tried to scrape off the bottom of my sneaker gets elected? Lord help us all. Yes, it would be amusing, but only for a nanosecond. He never shied away from his misogynistic rambling – he frequently chatted on the Howard Stern Show and hearty guffaws were had all round. I’m sixty. We have two daughters and one grand-daughter. When I was growing up women still made less than men, If a woman was raped, it was her fault. I remember reading about the pros and cons of letting your daughter go to university – cons being she would just marry and be a housewife, so why spend the money, and the pros being she would meet a nice man there, and because she’d been to university she would be a great mother who could teach her kids! You bet – a LOT has changed, but seeing that little fraction of a man go on, and then seeing his followers and minions just parrot the effluvia that flows from his little mouth as if it were Evian?!? He’s given them permission to be rabid and seeing it scares me. And I’m not even an American citizen. And DON’T even get me going on his remarks on immigrants, disabled people, Muslims ….. Yes, well said, Ma’am, well said.

    • Mary Furlong at 1:17 pm

You, Ma’am have said it particularly well. What happens in the U.S. affects the world. It is mind boggling to me than women would vote for Trump! It’s like chickens voting for Colonel Sanders!!

  14. Erica at 10:55 am

People are ridiculous when it comes to politics.. Why can’t someone be friends with someone that has different politic views then the other.. My best friend hates chocolate, and I’m a chocoholic, 25 years of friendship, and I still don’t understand her crazyiness to this day! Sometimes I think how can I be friends with someone that doesn’t like chocolate, what is wrong with her? Then I realize we are adults and are allowed different opinions then eachother.. Lol! I think it is so stupid that people can say, I love you call your kids little assholes, and I love you talk about parenting topics no one will touch.. The nitty gritty, sensitive subjects, and not everyone and every child and every family is rainbows and sunshine, but now I’m unfollowung you, because I think the president you think should run our country is an idoit.. So now, one topic changes the million other topics they agreed on what you said.. Just crazy to me..

    • Erica at 11:03 am

And for the record, I disagree with you on your views and your reasoning on this, but that is only 1 in a million other topics, and I’m not going to unfollow you because of it.. Because as adults living in America we are entitled to different opinions and still can be friends..

    • A Momma from Maine at 1:08 pm

This is really really well said 🙂 I agree. No one can ever agree to disagree anymore. Everyone is sooo opinionated and has no tolerance for disagreements or others’ opinions. Neither candidate is good. Period. I have my reasons for despising both, this is the worst case ever of who is the lesser of 2 evils. But, no matter, it is sad how peoplr get so amped up about social media and internet comments solely based on their opinions; being strongly opinionated and passionate about something is ok… having no ability to hear opposing sides, different view points or tolerating and being kind when you know you’ll never agree? That’s the very reason why we have so much hate on our country… it really is as simple as that. No need to complicate it more. I still like you BS, no matter your opinions on this or other topics past and future with which I may or may not disagree, agree, or be competely indifferent with.

    • Itsa Secret at 3:47 am

I think the reason we see the biggest tearing apart of friendships and even families this election is because of how out there Trump is. It isn’t just a matter of welfare and taxes this time, it’s knowing your friends are voting yes to a racist sexual predator and that they are ok with that. It’s knowing that with Trump our already great nation will regress 50 years+ as human beings suffer again to keep rights they had barely won. I am so so sad for people and all they have lost as individuals and all we have lost as a nation.

  15. Wilma at 11:00 am

Oh you’ve gone and done it now. So many haters out there. We all have the right to our own opinion… Isn’t that what living in a free country is all about? Freedom of speech!! It was fought for and paid for with the blood, sweat and tears of our forefathers. Don’t throw it away now!

  16. pbj at 11:06 am

I am so bemused by the people who claim they can’t vote for HRC because she let service people die. Um, were there no Secretaries of State before her who had service people die when they were in office and making political decisions? Did you not see the many times she asked for more funding for the very post that was attacked, but it was cut by the Republican Congress? Every person – of any party or gender – who makes decisions that affect our country (Congresspeople, military leaders, Secretaries of State, Presidents), ALL of them make decisions that end up getting our brave service members killed. Whether it’s with a vote to go to war or a vote to reduce funding for security measures or a decision to deciding our military personnel don’t need better armor but instead need more raises for politicians, they are all directly affecting our service men and women’s lives. My own parents bought better armor for my brother during his second tour in Afghanistan because his was worn out, and his battalion had already reached their budget. But it’s all Hillary’s fault.

It’s NOT Donald Trump’s words that scare the s**t out of us. It’s the fact that he LIVES those words. You cannot tell me that someone who talks casually about dating 10 year olds, sexualizes his own daughter to another misogynist, and cheats on all of his wives actually has women’s best interests at heart, and we make up more than half of the country. I’m not basing my opinions of him on the 10 or more women who’ve come out in the last week claiming he sexually assaulted them since they have no proof; I’m making this assessment on his OWN recorded words and deeds. I don’t want my kids to have a President who thinks that women are second class citizens unless they’re attractive. And while I’d never stay with a husband who cheated on me, why is Donald getting a free pass when he’s the one who cheated on all of his wives, yet Hillary is blamed that her husband cheated on her?

Hillary’s a crook? The Republican party has spent the last 20+ years trying to pin crimes on Hillary Clinton and has never succeeded. Does that mean she’s a perfect? No, but in this country, I thought we were supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, and as many times as they try, they haven’t proven anything. I also know that while she was trying to get better education and health care for poor kids and families, he was kicking people out of their homes, stealing from them, and putting his name and face on a ton of fraudulent stuff. I don’t think she’s the second coming, and I do think she has a major husband problem, but I also don’t think she’s going to get us involved in World War III because someone says something mean about her on Twitter. And as far as being a crook goes, which of them has cheated hundreds of small businesses out of their wages? Which of them has filed bankruptcy 5+ times in order to avoid paying people? Which of them thinks it’s smart to not pay taxes? Which of them is currently being sued for a fake university and has also had his charity shut down this month? Which of them has lost so much money from own business decisions that he would have made more money putting his inheritance in bonds than running his numerous businesses into the ground?

And the whole lying thing is just ridiculous. Yes, I think she most likely does have a public opinion and a private opinion. When I was growing up (in a military household), that was called tact. But now it’s proof that someone is two-faced. I find it hilarious that she’s been fact-checked countless times in this election cycle and has been noted as the most truthful of all candidates running, yet she still has this liar label.

If someone doesn’t agree with HRC for her politics, that’s fine. But to say that they can’t vote for her because she caused servicepeople to lose their lives or because she’s a liar and a crook, they’re just looking for an excuse to vote for a reality tv megalomaniac without a conscience or a filter. But, hey, whatever. It’s a free country. For now.

    • Tammy at 11:41 am

Well said I’m Canadian so I don’t get a vote but I agree with you. In the end HRC may prove to be a bad politician but most people can and will live with that, Trump on the other hand has already shown by not only his own words but by his actions as well, to be a bad human being and many people may not be able to live with that

PBJ ~ Will you run for Prez? You most certainly will have my vote! 🙂

  17. Kelly at 11:14 am

What I find interesting is you said upfront you thought hard about making this post and for anyone who did not want to read anything about your opinion on the election to NOT READ. But they read it anyway and tell u they will unfollow you bc of your opinion. In no way did I find your post offensive or truly negative or cruel in any way. You spoke from your heart, what many of the women who read your blog feel. I do not alway agree with the things you say, but im not going to end our “friendship” bc of it. The people who unfollow you, to me, are small minded and refuse to be open to any opinion other than their own.

  18. C at 11:15 am

I’m glad you wrote this. Whether I agree or not is beside the point. You being a multi-faceted, intelligent woman with a platform to be heard should be met with respect and discussion. People greeting her with derision for not sticking to being a mom, or straying off whatever topic you think she should stick to, because she doesn’t prefer your candidate is childish. I wouldn’t stop ordering chocolate ice cream from my favorite shop, if they ran out and I had to get vanilla that one time.
    I say “Brava”. Be vocal.

  19. Kim at 11:15 am

    I have 2 questions:

    1. Why do people feel the need to announce that they’re unsubscribing? Just do it.

    2. Why does everyone assume that if someone is not voting for Trump then they’re automatically voting for Clinton? There ARE other choices.

    • Shana at 5:17 am

You stole the words right outta my mouth, lol! I love reading these women getting their panties wadded up over a blog…and their getting them wadded up over their own assumption! She might write the next blog about how she can’t vote for Hillary either! Oh my gah, these women!!! ?

    • Itsa Secret at 4:08 am

I can only answer the 1st. Because people have an over inflated sense of self importance they think if they shame you and announce they are leaving you will instantly feel awful and change your behavior. Then, provided you fall on your sword appropriately they will magnanimously forgive you so long as you never again have a mind of your own without their approval. Usually when I see someone announce their departure I either ignore them because they are looking for attention and it’s more fun to see what they’ll do next. I’ve seen people come back and announce 3-4 times because they are stunned to see their own insignificance. This I partially blame on the fact that kids now are taught they are always winners/champions etc. Example, when I was a kid you got a trophy for 1st-3rd place and then a participation pin or ribbon the whole team got. Now they do trophies up to 42nd place because they can’t have a loser, which causes 2 problems. 1, working extra hard to be the best really doesn’t set you apart, so why bother and 2, no matter how little you work you will be celebrated AND praised and THIS creates the “well, how dare you give YOUR opinion, that’s not ok with ME and I am LEAVING!” Obviously there are certain areas this is something I believe in, like special olympics, where people are more limited, but for the most part it screws with people in ways that are damaging. Ok, off my soapbox lol. 🙂

  20. Amy at 11:23 am

Yes. All of this. Thank you. Don’t mind the haters. You don’t need them anyway.

  21. asainz at 11:25 am

Agree 10000000% THANK YOU!! And #byefelicia to the people that unfollow you based on your political stance!!

  22. Christy at 11:29 am

If you really want to know what it’s like to be treated unfairly and as an object, I suggest you move to the Middle East, cover yourself, only leave your home with a male escorts, and have your genitalia mutilated.

    • Bridgette at 5:56 pm

You are right. Sexual assault in this country shouldn’t matter because they have it worse. Give me a break. The same people who are excusing Trumps behavior are the same ones who called for Bill Clintons head cause he cheated on his wife. Hypocrisy at its finest.

  23. Liwa at 11:33 am

You are right to take a stand in what you believe in. Good for you for setting an example for your children.

  24. Dave at 11:33 am

I have a really quick question? Why does everyone think they have to scold someone because they announced they are unsubscribing from a particular blog? Let them do what they want just like the writer can have her opinion on a candidate. Opinions are like cell phones everyone has one. I and my wife are both Trump supports and I am announcing I am not unsubscribing from this Blog. So please make comments about me.

  25. Katie at 11:53 am

I agree with you, AND I also refuse to vote for the woman just because she is a woman. I think they both are evil, simply in different ways.

You have the right to speak your mind, thanks to this frickin awesome country we live in. Not everyone has to agree. That’s ok. I don’t subscribe to this blog because I agree with everything you write about. I subscribe because you also find the obscure humor in parenting, and you make me giggle.

Hey all y’all that are unsubscribing just because she voiced her opinion – p**s off. If what she said offends you that much, it’s because deep down you know she’s right. Deal with your own feelings, don’t blame her.

  26. Jennifer at 11:59 am

I, for one, am thrilled to see the “unsubscribers” leave. Weed ’em out, I say. I wish some people would unsubscribe from my life so I didn’t have to deal with the disappointment of associating with people who would vote for such a vile human being. Not a Hillary supporter and CERTAINLY not a Trump supporter. #FuckElection2016

  27. Dave at 12:07 pm

This is just too funny! All the commenters here are filled with disdain for others opinions. I love to see this. This election is going to be the down fall of the country.

  28. Jen at 12:09 pm

Good for you Baby Sideburns. This is YOUR blog and your opinions. Expressing an opinion that has to do with a political candidate does not make this a political blog, no matter what the knee-j**k unsubscribers say. Nor are you required to be funny 24/7. You have written serious posts before when the topic was serious, and this election is as serious as a heart attack. I applaud you for standing up for what you think is best for your kids. Keep on keepin on girlfriend!!

  29. Hillary for Prison 2016!!!!!!!!!! at 12:11 pm

I have so much that I want to say about this blog. Yes, he is not the best choice for candidate and honestly if I had to choose between him and Kermit the frog I would gladly choose that handsome green fellah. However, that being said, just because I am a woman does NOT mean that I have to vote for another woman just because she is a woman. I would not vote for a man that did the things she has done. Atleast Trump has the guts to be honest and not hide and pretend everything is OK. Why would you keep voting for a side that has put us through so much financial hell. Obviously Trump knows a little something about money and maybe (after he’s done talking sh** about everyone) he will get us out of this hole that NOBAMA has put us in. Hillary can stay in hell where she belongs!!!

    • Itsa Secret at 4:32 am

The issue starts with your title…innocent women don’t go to prison and if her enemies can’t find her guilty…she isn’t. I don’t think anyone would ask you to vote for a woman because she is a woman, Hillary included. No you aren’t voting for a man who has done the same. Where Hillary is innocent, Trump is guilty. An admitted sexual predator, a racist, sexist who has spent his whole life cheating people (including his wives) as opposed to Hillary who has spent decades trying to help women and children. Since when is admitting you are a predator considered honest and gutsy? It used to be that you didn’t get extra credit for being a monster because you admitted to it. He knows about money…he’s declared bankruptcy how many times? He’s been sued for failing to honor contracts how many times? He was born with a silver spoon up his a*s, it doesn’t make you a good person and looking at his past it sure as hell isn’t a sign of capability in terms of running a country. Trump doesn’t hide…where are his tax returns? NOBAMA… I think it’s hysterical that our whole lives we are taught by parents (if we had parents worth anything) that resorting to name calling to win an argument shows you lack the substance to win it without it and yet the “moral” party spends more time hurling insults and calling names than I have ever seen. More than that, people who had no ability to access health insurance and medical care now have it, can you really put a price on a persons life and still pretend you have the moral high ground over…ANYONE? Is the worst thing you have that he cares about the health of his people including those who have the nerve to be handicapped or poor? More than that, before you call Obama useless, consider he had a republican congress shoving it up his a*s on a daily basis that they would shoot down every single thing he sent them just because. Obama could have done so many amazing things, but a bunch of lazy a*s morons in congress decided to sit stagnant for 8 years and draw a check they didn’t deserve for a job they refused to do…THEY should be in prison.

  30. Rebecca at 12:17 pm

It isn’t only Angela. I am unsubscribing as well. I am confident we are not the only ones.

    • Bridgette Phillips Roberts at 12:33 pm

Why leave? You can’t handle a dissenting opinion? BS wrote her post. One post on who she is voting for. That’s enough for you to unsubscribe? Sad. If you enjoy all of her other posts, what a disappointing reason to leave. What if she said she was voting for Trump? Would you stay then?

  31. C Collins at 12:24 pm

I too am unsubscribing to your blog. I am a woman. I have two daughters bother very successful. I don’t read your blog for your political opinion.

    • Itsa Secret at 4:37 am

You are so insanely disrespectful. “I didn’t come here so you could speak your mind, I am only here for you to entertain me my way.”… I don’t see what your gender has to do with your rudeness or your daughters or poor grammar for that matter, but I’m certain you and your bad attitude will not be missed. Frankly you seem to think quite highly of yourself to assume she’d even notice you weren’t here.

  32. Bridgette Phillips Roberts at 12:31 pm

Don’t you know it is only disgusting when Democrats cheat on their wives?! Republicans, the moral right, don’t care if it’s their candidate. Well said BS. That’s one of the main reasons I could never vote Trump. I’m with her!

  33. Jen at 12:38 pm

Walk away if you don’t think she has a right to use her own blog to voice her opinion. Freedom of the press is probably right up there on President Trumps axe list, he’s made it quite clear that he doesn’t believe in it, so don’t worry, you won’t have to unsubscribe to many more blogs like these. Come to think of it, he doesn’t seem to be a fan of the Constitution at all does he?

    • Dave at 12:44 pm

No taking away the bill of rights is a major part of the Dems platform(2nd amendment ring a bell).

      • Itsa Secret at 4:41 am

Tell me which democrat has showed up at your door to confiscate your legally owned guns. Please, I’ll wait… You really see no difference between democrats not wanting felons to own deadly weapons and republican Trump wanting to throw people in jail for exercising their freedom of speech?

  34. Dave at 12:42 pm

I have a daughter and have I never told her to look at the President of the US as a role Model. How your kids turn out is up to the parent. The same people commenting here are the same people that look at the Kardshians as role models. Everyone is offended by everything. Worry about yourself, raise your kids right(no pun intended) and let people announce they have unsubscribed. Stop being offended by everything. It is maddening.

  35. Lisa at 12:51 pm

Well, people just get their panties all bunched when she talks about the man who can grab any woman by the p***y. How ironic! SHUT THE HELL UP AND DON”T READ THIS BLOG ANY MORE IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE ANOTHER’S OPINION! Ahem, now then.

And my 8 year old daughter is an asshole. Yep, she sure is! If you don’t think your children are assholes, you have a problem. Now there is an opinion!!

Now, let’s talk Trump. He is the biggest bully ever, cannot admit when he is wrong, said his own daughter is a piece of a*s, cheated on *atleast* one wife, calls women pigs, thinks they are inferior, and is being accused daily by women he has taken advantage of sexually. And this person should lead our country? Where, into a w***e house?

I would bet all CHUMP is worth that Melania wants to rip his d**k off at this point, and will divorce his p***y a*s ASAP! She cannot *stand* him, it is written all over her face when she is next to him. IF he were to become our President, he will listen to no one and start with wars with every single country he possibly can because he has NO FILTER AND IS A BULLY. PERIOD.

Now, let’s touch on religion just for fun. MAY DONALD TRUMP BURN IN HELL AND GOD SAVE US ALL IF HE WINS! But he won’t, because Hilary can maintain her composure, act like an adult and I think I’ve heard she has some experience. And she is not a bully. She is a lady and can also hang with the bog boys. Doesn’t get any better than that.

    • Hillary for Prison 2016!!!!!!!!!! at 1:37 pm

I hope it gets much better than that. Her own husband can’t even stand to be with her. She’s only where she is now because she lied her a** off to get there. Let’s face it, they both suck. It’s now about choosing between the shiniest of the 2 turds.

  36. Lenalou at 1:13 pm

I find it funny that people can throw a hissy fit over how you wrote about something you don’t normally write about, your own opinion, and tell you were wrong for doing so. On top of that, they decide to write feature- length opinions after bashing yours.

  37. SaraCVT at 1:13 pm

I agree. I am voting against him for many reasons, but one that stands out are my twin special-needs daughters. He was asked what his minimum age for sexual partners was, and he said “12” (Ewwww.) They are 13, and still regard boys as icky. I don’t want a world in which they are regarded as sexual beings before they’re ready.

  38. Erin at 1:34 pm

There seems to be quite a few people who think they know for whom BS is voting. I think we can glean she won’t be voting for Trump, but did she actually ever say she’s voting for HRC? Oh, nope, not that I can see. So chill out. She warned you not to read this if you didn’t want to see her political opinion, and yet you did. And now you’re mad. Seems to me you brought your frustrations upon yourself.

  39. Suzanne at 2:03 pm

Also an educator, as an educator I teach my students they are worthy human beings. I believe in them, I build them up so that when the world knocks them down they know they have the strength to get through this. In my learning environment it’s ok to share differing opinions, we learn respect and integrity.
So Angela, buh-bye. Your learning environment isn’t one I would want for any of my outstanding future leaders.
On another note, I am appalled by the defense of locker room talk…for a number of reasons. But what I feel like keeps getting forgotten is that he was NOT in a locker room or any private space. He was wearing a mic. The one good thing that has come of it is that now there are conversations all over the world taking place about how you treat women….heck how you treat other humans.
    Human-kind = be both

  40. Chris @ Dadding Value at 3:10 pm

Beautifully spoken. It would be much easier for any of us to simply shake our heads and keep these thoughts inside of us, assuming that everybody is just as appalled at his comments/actions. Thanks for speaking up and calling out the injustices though.

  41. Stacy at 3:33 pm

I do not care if Donald Trump called a woman fat. I do not care if he tried to sleep with a woman or if he likes “beautiful” women. I care that he sent a plane to pick up 200 Marines who were stranded after desert storm. I care that he supports our police officers and first Responder’s. I care that he supports guns and standing behind our military. I care that he supports the death penalty and is AGAINST abortion. I care that he supports enforcing immigration laws. I care that he wants to destroy radical Islamic groups. I care that he supports COAL. These are things I care about. Him talking sexually about women does not bother me. Were they mean words? Yes. Were they words spoken in PRIVATE? Yes. Have you ever talked to your friends about the opposite s*x in private and said things? I’m positive all of you have. But, News Flash!! Women have been sexualized for centuries!! Jay-Z, Lil’ Jon, Lil’ Wayne and every single other rapper helped establish that platform, but people are ok with music blasted all over the radio degrading women. Ever heard of Victoria Secret? Or their fashion show? Ever heard of Hooters? People are ok with that. What about Fifty Shades of Gray, how many of us women flocked to the stores to buy that book, millions were sold.
Until all of these things are different, women will be viewed this way. Obama couldn’t change that and Hillary can’t either. I feel sorry for the women Donald has belittled and said terrible things about. But I’m still much more offended by what Hillary Clinton has DONE over what Donald Trump has SAID… PERIOD!!!! So Trump doesn’t do well at the debates, maybe he even sounds childish and incapable. But he is speaking the truth! Just because he’s not a polished politician like Hilary or Obama doesn’t mean he’s unqualified to be president. He cares for this country, not growing the size of his pockets. That man has so much money he could never spend it all. He gets NOTHING out of being president! I’m standing for the man accused of saying mean words. I’ll never back a woman under three different scandal investigations, possible murder at Benghazi, and the secretive email scandal which has been nothing but lies from the beginning. #neverhillary

    • Sapphire Wyren at 5:22 pm

you must be his type of woman then. you never had any of your kids shot, tell the victims of the Aurora Movie theater, Columbine, Sandy Hook, San Berndino, Virginia Tech, Pulse Orlando Night Club and any other victims of mass shooting that, the fact that you blame Hillary of murder is quite retarded, seeing then you might as well blame ALL politicians that were given command over troops murderers or realize that these soldiers VOLUNTEER to fight and decisions are based on the INFORMATION politicians such as secretary of state and Presidents are given. If your precious Trump becomes president, I guess he’s going to be a murderer as well. ANd do people really care about a bunch of emails? I know I don’t. Other countries have been hacking into American servers that are far more secure for years, so that’s not new. a sexual predator running for president that is new. And most of the crap he said against women, colored, disabled and such is DURING the campaign. As a matter of fact he even implied that violence be used against Hillary. so do you not have any women friends or colored friends or people who are immigrants as friends? I’m thinking that you are one of those oblivious, out of touch white women, so used to privilege and so d**n out of touch with the world around you. Hey guess what, America is inhabited by white people.

      • Dave at 8:55 am

Sapphire: You have to be a liberal. When you have nothing to say you resort to name calling and making assumptions about someone. You must live in a really bad America!!

    • Dave at 8:45 am

Well Said Stacy!! I would rather be offended(we are offended to easy) by Trump than left for dead by Hillary.

    • Itsa Secret at 8:50 am

Oh please! Trump was a card carrying pro-choice democrat until he wanted to run for President and then he had to be a republican because he knew democrats are too smart to buy his bullshit. Rest assured, anything Trump supports he does to benefit him, and him alone. I think it’s astonishing that life is both precious and expendable to you…IN THE SAME SENTENCE! I know you’d hate to actually research Hillary, but the reason she is opposed to the current legislation regarding later term abortion is because of one thing, there are NO provisions currently that protect the life of the mother. So if the baby has no chance of survival after birth and the mother won’t survive until she can give birth, under the law being put together now, they BOTH get to die and whatever children she already has get to watch her die along with their sibling. Him bragging about being a sexual predator is ok with you…noted. It says as much about you as it does about him. You are insulting every man AND woman to suggest that we “all” talk like that in public. Yes I do talk about men in private, but at no point do I talk about jamming my tongue in their mouth or my hand down their pants without their consent, because that’s what sexual predators do and most people don’t get off on force. As for 50 shades of grey, 1. could you be more unoriginal, and 2. there are multiple chapters talking about and getting consent for 2 adults to willingly engage in sexual activities…not exactly the same as being a sexual predator that women got but didn’t want or ask for…

I will state for the 500th time that no matter how many charges republicans trump up against hillary they still can’t find her guilty on anything…hmm what does that say? oh right…she’s innocent! Obama’s only major limitations were that he had a republican congress determined to take a paycheck and not earn a cent of it. They said right out they’d throw out anything he sent them no matter what it was…pretty much what republicans do, they pout. “Do what we want or we will shut the entire gov’t down and everyone will pay…except for us of course because we get paid for not working…” If anyone should be in prison is the congressmen who stole money they hadn’t earned for not doing their job.

I think it’s adorable you think he speaks the truth. Not only does he delight in lying (which is evident in the fact that he’s already backed off several campaign promises and he’s not taken office yet) but he’s also so incompetent that he made promises he’s too dumb to know he can’t possibly keep. Trumps lies outnumber Hillary’s like 3-1. You are offended by Hillary’s actions? Yeah it’s so offensive she’s spent her whole adult life busting her a*s to help women and children while trump sat on his gold throne with a silver spoon up his a*s. Trump cares NOTHING for this country, it’s why he’s knee deep with the Russians who hacked the election…hell he can’t even lower himself to have an American wife…maybe it’s because we are too smart to end up with someone like him, who knows. But when you take a presidential candidate and listen to him spew racism, sexism, bigotry and plain hatred we have spent the last 5-6 decades trying to overcome and then you listen to people (women no less) defend him…it really makes you wonder about those people. Basically all you have said here is that the character of the president doesn’t matter and that by supporting him knowing all you know that you are just the same. A racist, sexist against your own kind, hateful bigot and you are proud to be that way.

      Well…congrats to be you? #neverevertrump

  42. Stacy at 3:47 pm

Wow, You’re a mother … and you can stand behind a woman who blamed a 12 year old rape victim?

Stick to what you’re good at, being funny.

    • Bridgette at 5:57 pm

Why don’t you educate yourself. Snopes is your friend. Don’t believe everything posted on facebook.

    • Christie at 6:14 pm

find where she blames a 12 yr old rape victim. She was a public defender. Asked to be taken of the case, was denied. Then she did her job. This continued false way of portraying her in Gus case is infuriating.

    • Itsa Secret at 8:52 am

Yeah…except like most of what is on FB and Twitter and Fox about her…it’s totally and completely untrue. I get why you latch onto lies because you are starving and need food for your hatred but this isn’t it because anyone with a brain already knows this isn’t true.

  43. Cher Hewitt at 5:19 pm

Well, unlike Angela, I’m subscribing to your blog because I like what you said! Look forward to the humor as well!!

  44. MadMartha at 5:33 pm

I find it disconcerting that the ad in my side bar as I scroll through the piece is “Date Beautiful Russian Women.”

  45. Jodie at 6:21 pm

It’s funny, I only checked out this post because I was going to unsubscribe…before I read it. Your post a ways back on IKEA and the MALM furniture series was ridiculous. This post unequivocally sealed the deal. To me, this is phony outrage. Nothing seems genuine here. Sayonara.

    • Mia at 8:35 pm

Do you have a significant other? Talk to him! Cause my side bar is about blinds. It’s all based on your search history.

  46. Yvonne at 6:50 pm

Regardless of political affiliation, no one should be ok with the things Trump has said about women, minorities and the disabled. He is a bully at the very least, and although I don’t have a daughter, I do have two sons and I do not want a man (and I use that term loosely) such as him as a “role model” for them. Bravo for you speaking your mind. This is your blog and you use it as you see fit. Anyone who didn’t want to hear what you had to say could have skipped it, as you suggested. I follow you on Facebook, but I will also be subscribing to your blog.

  47. Ron Fresquez at 8:02 pm

It is your blog and you can express whatever you want. Remember you are dealing with Trump supporters and Hillary haters. These are people who are willfully ignorant or too weak minded to educate themselves and thin for themselves. Keep blogging.

  48. Mia at 8:30 pm

Blah blah blah. You are funny and at the end of a long day I appreciate that! Thanks!

  49. Kate at 9:12 pm

That was awesone! Thank you, I think you spoke for many of us

  50. Lynn at 9:37 pm

    Unsubscribed!
Criticizing WORDS….Coming from a person who calls her children douchenuggets and a-holes. Disappointing you allowed yourself to be brainwashed by the media and misinformed on who you’re casting a vote for.
    Trump isn’t a career politician.
But at least he’s not advocating for adult men (who decide to dress as women, i.e., pervs!) to share restrooms with our daughters. Seriously. Get your priorities straight.

    • Itsa Secret at 9:03 am

Wow. I’ll tell ya what, give me 3 examples of a transgender person being arrested, tried, and convicted for molesting a child in a public restroom and I’ll agree with you…actually convicted, not just seen walking out of the restroom and tried and convicted by a bigot like you. Go ahead I’ll wait…

  51. Mike at 10:22 pm

Sorry, time to unfollow you. I’ve been thinking about it for a while anyway, but this is enough. I’m so sick of the “victim” culture, and your post does nothing but perpetuate it. Everyone has to deal with stereotypes or challenges in some way or another – because they are tall, short, overweight, a woman, a man, gay, straight, poor, or rich. It’s human nature and is combated by education and experience, not political pandering or legislation. Listening only to Hillary, one would probably assume it was legal to discriminate against women, pay them less, etc. Does discrimination exist on some levels? Sure. However it’s not the reality that I live in everyday.

As far as the candidates go, I’m far more offended by things that Hillary has actually done, than by things that Trump has said.

  52. Crystal Hamaker at 12:02 am

My son is currently serving this nation, he will be deployed AGAIN in a week to once again “stand on that wall and protect the people of this nation.” He may even be given another metal for going above and beyond, but 99.9% of the people in this nation will never know his name nor will they thank him for the fact that they sleep every night under the blanket of freedom he and ALL our service men and WOMEN provide. But you see; they CHOOSE that life, and to them ALL lives matter. They don’t believe anyone is more important than anyone else…they’ll give their life for YOU regardless if you are Republican or Democrat, or who you vote for. So as a mother of AN HONORABLE MAN; I’m asking those in this comment string who want to lay the deaths of service members at the feet of Secretary Clinton to NOT! Because she wasn’t Secretary Of State before and hasn’t been for a long time now and yet our sons and daughters were and are still being deployed and still being killed.

Furthermore whether I agree or disagree with Karen’s politics, makes no difference what so ever. She is entitled to express them, BECAUSE of ALL of the men and women who have served, fought and sadly died to give her and ALL OF YOU spewing hate toward her that right.

PLEASE keep expressing your opinions Karen, to honor my son and ALL our service members who keep serving to give you that freedom!

    • Dave at 8:52 am

Crystal: As a service member who stood on that wall, it is our right to disagree with her opinion. I do not hate BSB I just disagree with her. I seved under Clinton 1 and Bush 2 and I will not be the only person to tell you what Defense budget cuts can do to undermine the safety of our troops fighting these wars.

      • Crystal at 9:16 am

Dave I know. I come from a military family, every male in my family has served since WWI, ALL except my father (who served during peace time) have seen combat. I KNOW what current cuts are doing to our service men who are basically having to be Macgyvers just to cobble together what they need. I know our Airmen are flying 40 year old planes with no hope of any new ones on the horizon. However to solely blame Secretary Clinton for this is laughable at best. As I said, whether I agree or disagree with Karen’s politics doesn’t matter! But attacking her for expressing those opinions does matter. By all means disagree with her, after all it’s the American way and RIGHT. But don’t do it in an abusive and uneducated way. I was born and raised in one of the reddest states in this nation. I say “we’re so red we can’t even spell blu.” It of course disturbs me to no end to see these things about Trump. However I’ll continue to stand for our flag ANYTIME and I’ll defend Karen’s right and YOUR right to freely and openly express opinions.

        • Dave at 10:15 am

I do not think they were blaming Clinton for service members being killed, they were blaming her for Libya. The video made them do it is a disgrace and a stain to the memory of those 4 men who lost their lives. I do not blame her directly for their death but I do blame her for running with a bogus story. My point is Hillary is no saint and your lead in with the Military caused some concern because under Democratic leadership our military resources have been decimated. I am an 8 year Army vet and a 12 year Defense Department Civil Servant and if Clinton wins our military will suffer.

  53. Christine at 6:45 am

Brilliant. Your comments are bang on. It’s good to know that not all of America is falling for this undesirable candidate (to politely say the least). Thank you for sharing.

  54. Mike at 8:20 am

Funny that a blogger who posts about how much she loves her kids is supporting a candidate that advocates murdering babies

    • Ron Fresquez at 9:33 am

Funny that a blogger who posts about how they are pro-life is nowhere to be seen or heard from once the child is born. Typical.

  55. Heather at 5:17 pm

I will be unsubscribing, also. I get enough politics on the news, facebook, work. I realize this is your blog and you have the right to your opinion and to write about whatever you would like…but politics and religion are generally advised against.

  56. Julie Markewy at 9:02 pm

I am a doctor. In medical school, I was one of 19 women in a class of 135. The class before me had 12 women, the class before that 5. Every Monday morning, we heard locker room talk from the men in the class, describing their weekend “scores”. And what did we do about it? Nothing! We wanted to play in a man’s world and we did, proving we could anything they could do, andnso it better- and each of us became specialists, graduating from resident programs after medical school. Did it bother us the way they talked? Not at all. And we were the original “feminists”, if you will, that grew up listening to Gloria Steinem pontificate about equality. At the same time, we went about our business quietly and deliberately, in our professional and personal lives, no slouches were we, all raising intelligent, professional daughters and sons. I now own a hugely successful consulting company and am voting for Trump! Why? Because Hillary is an insult to my gender. Her lies, her hatred of women- abhorrent to me. Everything she and Bill have touched is scandal-ridden. From White Water to the cattle futures trading, Vince Foster’s (her most trusted confidante) suicide, to Benghazi, the “pay for play” Clinton Foundation, the quod-pro-quo deals between the DOS and State Dept during her tenure there. It just never stops. Appalling and disgusting. I will take a cat-calling male over her and Bill any day. I will not vote for a person who, every time she opens her mouth, spews lies. Trump has a vision for America and, coming from Canada LEGALLY, I agree wholeheartedly with him. Kennedy was a womanizer, Johnson was a despicable and pathetic president, as was Clinton. Yeah, the ” I never had s*x with that woman” impeached and debarred loser, that taught my kids, when they were in middle school, that oral s*x wasn’t really s*x, leading to a proliferation of girls as young as 12, giving boys blow jobs under the school stands at football games. As a member of the PTA, I was incredulous that that was the preferred sexual activity of kids at that age. But that’s what he teachers and counsellors told us. Thank you, Slick Willy.

Note that all of the most DESPICABLE presidents were DEMOCRATS. Note that all the cities that are bankrupt, or going bankrupt, have been run by the Dems all these years. Detroit, Chicago, L.A. Note that almost 50% of the American population is now on some sort of public assistance, since Obama became President. Let’s just keep giving the people handouts so they keep voting for the Dems, instead of skills that will bring them out of poverty and off the welfare roles. It is definitely time for a NON-lawyer, NON-Democrat, someone who speaks the truth, who raised four amazing, intelligent, productive children, and who is now involved with raising a fifth, a businessman who knows how to create jobs, unlike HRC, who never worked a day in the private sector, nor hired anyone in her life and who, according to the Secret Service detail assigned to her and Bill, the man was stationed outside the Oval Office when both Bill and Bush were presidents (Gary Byrne), said she consistently called blacks in the WH n******, disrespected the SS agents that were ex-military, treated the help like s***, but smiled sweetly for the cameras. A two-faced lying b**** at POTUS? No thank you! As a professional woman and CEO, I am voting for the best candidate for the office. And that certainly will NEVER be anyone named “Clinton”. It will be Trump that will put America first and make my adopted home and GREAT AGAIN.

Ugh. Sorry for my typos. Should say “DOJ and State Dept”, and a few other typos. Typing quickly because I am LIVID that any thinking human being is not disgusted by Hillz and everything she says, and her scandal-ridden history. Locker room talk by DJT? Who cares! I have been to clubs and been groped and fondled on the dance floor. Par for the course. Stop with the PC crap already. Enough is enough. I have always been paid the same, and now much more, than a man doing the same job. It’s all in how you conduct yourself- always professionally. Respect begets respect in the boardroom.

Put on your Big Girl panties and just do your thing.

      • Ron Fresquez at 10:14 pm

“Locker room talk by DJT? Who cares! I have been to clubs and been groped and fondled on the dance floor. Par for the course.”

WOW! What kind of clubs do you go to where strange men grope and fondle you? If your daughter went to a club and a stranger groped and fondled her and “Grabbed her by the P***y” would you tell her to “Stop with the PC crap already. ” If your mother or your sister went to a club and a stranger groped and fondled them and grabbed them by the P***y would you tell them to “Stop with the PC crap already. ”

Grabbing a woman by the P***y is not lockeroom talk it is sexual assault. However, women who do not want to be grabbed by the P***y by a stranger should just “Put on your Big Girl panties and just do your thing.”

I hope you are a much better Doctor than you are a judge of character. Perhaps you long to have Donald Trump “Grab your P***y or your Mothers P***y or your Daughters P***y or your Sister p***y. Or are you attracted to “The Donald” because he is a pathological liar? Maybe you are attracted to his success in business like his multiple casino failures. How do you bankrupt a business that give you a license to print money? Or maybe it is Trump University that you are impressed with. We haven’t even talked about his upcoming December court date for raping a 13 year old girl. These are all facts not fiction.

For over 25 years the Republican Party has been investigating Hillary Clinton and they have come up with NOTHING! No indictments. NOTHING!

Correct me if I am wrong but didn’t Your God, Ronnie Ray Gun illegally sell arms to the Iranians? Was Richard Nixon forced from Office because of Watergate? Didn’t George Bush lie to Americans about Iraq? Oh wait, those we Republican Presidents so that could not have happened.

So, “As a professional woman and CEO, you are voting for the best candidate for the office.”

This statement from you speaks volumes about you.

Ron, I’m loving your replies. In a vernacular that is very common in MY family “WOO AHH!!” I find myself dumbfounded by ANYONE (female or male) who will defend ANY type of sexual misconduct. And no it doesn’t just happen to women, even though it happens to women at a much higher percentage.

I believe from the Doctor’s statement that I should have just shut up and taken it when I was forcibly raped at the age of 19. I suppose I was being waaaaay too PC when I told my brothers (all of who were in the military at the time and really kind of scary dudes) about what happened and smiled when THEY ROSE TO MY DEFENSE, because the police didn’t know for sure whether to charge the man who ripped my clothes off and did much more than “grab my p***y”! And I guess I’m raising my daughter cooompletely wrong by teaching her; NO ONE has the right to touch your body, or to say lude remarks to you.

As cowgirl as we are, trust me we’ve been putting our “big girl panties on” every day SINCE BIRTH…but WE get to decide WHO takes those panties off!!!

      • Ron Fresquez at 11:37 am

        Hi Crystal,

Thank you for your kind words. I am also dumbfounded by anyone especially women who excuse sexual assault as “lockeroom talk.” What makes this comment even more creepy and disgusting is it came from a 60 year old man. As you can see from Dr. Julie Markewy’s post and the buffoonery from the famous Dr. Ben Carson, just because you are a Dr. you are not automatically qualify as an intelligent, thoughtful and decent human being. People have the right to their own opinion but they don’t have the right to have their own facts.

BTW, I love your closing sentence it is very powerful and empowering. It is what we should be teaching our kids.

        Take care,
        Ron

Likewise I’ve also unsubscribe due to the content change, but I have enjoyed your previous posts. Thanks

Oh my…It’s the Dixie Chick’s shut-up-and-sing-gate of 2016….be funny but have no opinions outside of your funniness where others might hear them and be made to see that you are MORE than just funny. Shut up and make me laugh. Ugh.

Sorry on behalf of the pitchfork crowd….keep making us laugh while continuing to have a view on the world you live in. I personally appreciate your multitasking of humor and personal values. Carry on!

  60. Cathy Parthun at 9:29 pm

Unsubscribing too. I don’t care what your political views are. I read your blog for comic relief and what I need now is relief from this shitstorm of an election. Yea yea, I hear you’re woman and watch you roar. Shut up and make me laugh

    • Itsa Secret at 9:16 am

Wow, as a woman you should be outraged anyone would tell another woman to basically just shut up and attend to my needs and leave your brain at home for someone who cares about your personal opinions. For another woman to say that boggles my mind. You need relief from the election and feel entitled to it, but how dare she need have a need to seek the same relief on her own blog? You don’t deserve to enjoy her if you can’t respect her.

  61. Prisca Miriam Anne at 1:10 pm

    Oh, puhleeze.
I’m a woman and I’ve got a vote, too. And while I’m NO FAN of The Donald, I’m certainly NOT voting for the Hillary, either.

Oppressed? What country do you even live in?
I swore to uphold the Constitution, I defended my country. I’ve worn jump boots, jungle boots, enforced the law, wore sidearms for a living, won awards for my sharpshooting and humped an m60 through South American jungles.

In no way was ANY RICH WHITE MAN “oppressing” me in those years.

If an 18 year old is compelled to enter a BEAUTY pageant and then wins said BEAUTY pageant, she ought not to rally the feminists when she gets fat while under the very contract that says she won’t get fat. She got fat. She didn’t keep her end of the bargain. She was told to lose weight. Big whoop. Lose weight.

Hillary is a piece of s**t. That is the most wicked vile woman to have walked this planet. That hag ought to be in prison but hey, play that WOMAN CARD. Tell everyone how much you care about women and children, Hillary, meanwhile you’re al for shredding babies 0-40 weeks gestation. You take million$ from diabolical nations that treat women like what? Pieces of s**t. All hail the mighty Hillary. I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!

Yeah. I vote. So do MY daughters, all 6 of them. Thank God I raised them to handle life with tough skin and dignity. You won’t catch them whining about “oppression”. They just get stuff done.

This is just sad. I thought I found this cool new blog to feel better about being a shitty mom. So I scrolled this morning to read some other posts and this comes up. Dayum. This sucks. It’s her blog, her choice but I’m so tired of hearing everyone’s opinions about politics. It’s all s**t as far as I’m concerned. Your other blogs about being a mom rock. I wish she would stick to those.

  63. Itsa Secret at 3:16 pm

Amazing how many of you are saying to her what you’d attack a man for telling her…to basically shut up and stick to amusing all of you and to hell with her feelings or opinions. If this was my blog I’d go completely political until I weeded out the loyal followers from the assholes who care nothing for my feelings, opinions and freedom of speech. Why should anyone who doesn’t appreciate her get to dictate her actions? Typical trumpers, so sad.
