How to eat whatever you want this summer without feeling bad (sponsored by Daily Harvest)

WAITRESS: Would you guys like to start off with any chips and guacamole or queso and we have strawberry and peach margaritas tonight?

ME: Yes.

WAITRESS: Which one would you like?

ME: ALL OF THEM.

Yes, I know what they say—everything in moderation. THEY say that. But do you know what I say? It’s summertime! Everything in abundance!! Barbecues with burgers and beer, outdoor concerts with snacks and wine, s’mores by the fire pit. These are some of the best parts of summer and I refuse to miss out on them because I’m worried about “being good.”

Who cares if I have a beer belly in my bathing suit tomorrow because hopefully everyone will be noticing something else—my HUGE smile!

I’m at a point in my life where I don’t feel bad about doing the things that make me happy. But, and this is a big BUT (not to be confused with a big butt), I also know something else. Part of living life to the fullest is putting healthy stuff in my body in between all the barbeques and happy hours, so I can live life to the fullest for a lonnnnnng time. You know, until my boobs touch my knees and my face looks like a Shar-Pei puppy.

And this is where Daily Harvest comes in. Yes, yes, yes, this is sponsored, and I’m not trying to trick you or anything, but I think you should read this because Daily Harvest is seriously one of my favorite sponsors. But if you’re too lazy to read all this and just want the good stuff, just click here and use the code BABY40 to get up to $40 off your first box of Daily Harvest!

I was even more excited to work with them this time because I got to try their brand-new Collection. Crumbles! You can use these plant-based crumbles anywhere you’d ordinarily use ground meat. They’re packed with protein (13g per serving from veggies, legumes and nuts!) and everything they’re made from is grown in the ground, not the lab. None of that artificial junk. They contain nothing processed or synthetic and are made only from real ingredients. (UPDATE 6/19: An important message regarding Daily Harvest’s French Lentil + Leek Crumbles. Details here: https://www.daily-harvest.com/content/french-lentil-leek-crumbles-advisory)

They were super easy to sauté. All you have to do is add them to a nonstick pan over medium-high heat with a little cooking oil, then cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden. Then I put them in soft tacos with mango salsa, but you can add them into or on top of whatever you’d like. Mmmmmm. I literally didn’t have to season them with anything! They come in two flavors, but I had the Walnut +and Thyme flavor and OMG, they were deeelicious. They are filled with cauliflower, hemp seed, walnuts, and more good stuff!

I’ve been trying to use less meat lately because I know that’s better for the planet, and Crumbles are the perfect solution. And like always, Daily Harvest sent me all sorts of other healthy stuff too. All plant-based, gluten-free and dairy-free!!

Crispy Flatbreads like this yummy Tomato +and Basil one. Pop in the oven or toaster and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Harvest Bowls can be cooked on the stove or in the microwave for a quick meal full of healthy grains and veggies. My favorite is this Butternut Squash + Chimichurri one.

And my all-time favorite—Daily Harvest Smoothies that are to die for. Not only are they full of delicious fruits and veggies, but they also have nuts and seeds and herbs that make them way tastier than any smoothie I could make on my own. I ate this Strawbery + Peach one for lunch and was full for hours. It includes strawberry, banana, peach, raspberry, oats, and goji berry. They are super easy to make, add your liquid of choice and blend!

Does Daily Harvest taste as good as the bag of chips and dip I scarfed down last night? Yup. Because you know when all you’ve been eating is crap and your body is craving something healthy? It’s like that. So today I’ll eat Daily Harvest, and tomorrow I’ll eat as many s’mores as I want until I feel like I might throw up if I see another marshmallow.

Don’t forget to use the Daily Harvest promo code BABY40 to get up to $40 off your first box. And don’t forget to be good to yourself this summer. And by “be good” I mean DON’T deprive yourself of the things that make you happy!!

If you liked this, please don’t forget to like and share it!! Thank you so much for helping me support and feed my family with sponsored posts like this one. I only promote products I really like.

You always make me smile, but those pictures on the end of this post….you’re so cute and funny. Even when you’re hawking something. Party on!
